Inniskillin
Vidal Icewine
This wine has a rich, gorgeous, golden color. The nose gives a massive whiff of apricots and hints of assorted tropical fruit. The palate is a dessert lover’s delight, unctuous and creamy with sweet flavors of apricot, pineapple and apple tart. The acidity is fine, if not a match for steak. Try it with a soft cheese, or even with a hard cheese. It will also pair well with fruit pies. Delicious and dreamy.

Jul 18th, 2024Pale gold color and a pronounced bouquet of pear, ripe pineapple, apricot and lemon. Unctuous texture, full bodied and creamy on the Palate. A bit light in acidity so it verges on count but the long finish is very clean

Dec 28th, 2018Founded by Donald Ziraldo and Karl Kaiser in 1975, Inniskillin is Canada's pioneering icewine producer, bringing the Niagara Peninsula global attention. Today, they remain masters of this unmistakably Canadian delicacy. While the Riesling icewines may be the most refined and complex, and the red Cabernet Franc renditions the most flamboyant (especially in its sparkling form), there's something about the icewines made from Vidal, a hybrid variety, that is so gratifyingly pleasurable. Juicy, and drippingly palate-coating, the wine oozes lush, ripe flavors of orange peel, mango, bruised peach and apricot, nuanced by a pollenous, floral quality.

Dec 27th, 2017Very sweet (obviously). Spicy orange zest on the nose. Imagine a peach, apple and citrus blend syrup in the palate with a long finish.
