Fantastic and reasonably priced, rich and big-bodied Tuscan. Lots of wood and beef blood with a jammy component. Compelling nose of brambly dark red fruit. Leather all about, which shouldn’t surprise anyone in a wine made by Ferragamo... I’d give this a year or two to sort out, score likely to improve. Cipriani @ Wynn LV (which Foursquare couldn’t find, I hate that app)

Today, the Ferragamo family, with the help of Enologist Niccolo’ D’Afflitto have been working to develop the practices that have been used at Il Borro since 1760 under the ownership of Medici-Tornaquinci. A blend of 50% Merlot, 35% Cab Franc, 10% Syrah & 5% Petit Verdot, deep Ruby with a berry earthy spice nose. On the palate good full dark berry flavors with a nutty oak character. Fine rustic tannins, lingering ending with earthy berry tones.

Nose of raspberry sauce and sweet plums. Harmonious build from the nose to the palate-bright muddled blue fruits, sweet pipe tobacco and cherry. Finish remains bright yet intense with a spice and mineral aftertaste.

Rich and full bodied with good weight on the palate. Nice long finish - it can last until midnight- not sure if I will. HNY.
