Hyde Vineyard Pinot Noir

Showing off a really nice, dark core, the 2014 Hyde Vineyards Pinot Noir begins with a bright aromatic profile of nutmeg, cigar shavings, black cherry and wild mushroom. The salinity and mouthfeel of this wine is seriously good as the lip-smacking acidity brings you back to the glass for more. Black and red fruits dance with a touch of citrus rind and earthy tones. A complete wine, this gorgeous Pinot Noir will cellar well over the next ten to fifteen years. Drink 2019-2033- 94

#wine was the top of a few standouts over the weekend. solid, not flashy, balanced, dark fruited berry.

M+ intensity, strawberry, cherry, tart fruit, and rhubarb. Pepper. M acid. M- tannin. Needs a little time.

Opulent, long lasting and mineral with strawberry aroma and blackberry flavor.. perfect complement to our Christmas bird.

You can run but you can't...

Double decant and pour. A striking dark ruby red color. On the nose: brambly cherry, forest floor, raspberry, clove, dried herbs. Taste: smooth, creamy, rich, juicy wine with sweet cherry, cedar, orange rind, earth, and a peppery strawberry medium finish. YUM!

I wasn’t very impressed with this one, surprisingly. A little on the sweet side

Hyde Estate Carneros Napa Valley Pinot Noir 2014: Medium-bodied. Great balanced. Well integrated tannins. Bright red fruits (raspberry, cherry, pomegranate & currant). Plum. Spice. Earth. Long-lingering finish. All in all, a delicious & excellent Carneros Pinot! Glad I was introduced to this Carneros beauty. Cheers🍷

2012 Vintage. Not as strong tannin as I expected. Showing some age. Ripe fruit, red cherry, medium tannin, medium acid, medium+ alcohol and medium body. Some forest floor and chocolate. Dry with maybe some residual sugar. Ruby with garnet rim variation. Good complexity and medium long finish. I like this wine. It would be even better if the acid level is a bit higher. Enjoyed it a lot at a good friend’s place.
