This is the 2016 Hudson Vineyard Little Bit. The first release of this select barrel Chardonnay. I’ve asked Delectable to add.

Coravining a taste to see if it will hold up under the backbone of a brined & rubbed Turkey.

The nose reveals candied & sour apple candy, meyer lemon, lemon heads, apricots, overripe pineapple, guava, beautiful medium intensity tropicals, buttered popcorn, honeycomb, bees wax, citrus blossoms, soft spice, butterscotch, lime candy, bread crust-brioche, caramel with fresh & withering yellow lilies.

The body is full, round, gorgeously sexy and like satin. The backbone, length, structure, tension and balance are incredible. Candied & sour green apple, golden honey crisp apple, meyer lemon, lemon heads, apricots, overripe pineapple, guava, green melon, nice tropicals, buttered popcorn, honeycomb, bees wax, citrus blossoms, allspice, butterscotch, caramel, lime candy, bread crust-brioche, caramel, limestone, volcanic minerals, dry river stones with fresh & withering yellow lilies and white spring flowers. The acidity is round & near perfect. The long finish is simply heaven over the palate...elegant, round and persistent as hell.

Only a 142 cases made and one of the best CA Chardonnay’s I’ve had in quite sometime. Get it before it’s gone.

This wine will continue to vastly improve with another 5-8 years in bottle. It’s an extremely rare comment from me but, this is a potential perfect score wine.

2022 vintage. This is going places. Classy and sophisticated in a medium-heavy body package. Nice mineral flourish on the finish. 11.15.24.

Tasted alongside a 2013 Tor Hudson Chardonnay. compared to that one, this one had much brighter acidity on the front. Lemon rind, pear and mango. Citrus. Kiwi. Apple. Wow. I think I was prepared for a good Chardonnay, but I'm pretty sure I was not expecting this! just a little bit above a 95, and I seriously think this one has a little bit of growing up to do even still. Going to hold my other bottle for a year or two and see what happens. @Shay A has more details!

I like this a little more than the Aubert Powder House, not as tart & salinity on the finish, but can’t go wrong with either one
Wine Advocate 99, $85.00 on release
Can’t find this on retail anywhere 🤷🏼‍♂️
