Guttenberg Grüner Veltliner

Decent white with nice acid, phenolic bite, touch of floral

Turning a little honey but as rich as ever. Had with hams, confit, olives and mature cheese. Just right. What a bargain too.

Fantastic wine! Pineapple and tangerine, chives, haricot verts, spritzy citrus, lemon verbena. The palate is plump, with lemon, grapefruit pith, chalky pomelo, lemongrass, grapefruit soda, briny lime. Huge acidic backbone to support really big fruit! Remember this as sweeter, but not tonight!

Lemon and green pineapple leap from the glass but so do green apple, smoke, schist, mushroom, lemon pudding aromatics. Green apple and lemon oils draped over an iron structure of immense, polished acidity.tart lime, basil, green onion and of course, white pepper to last and last. Enormous and refined. Bright as sunlight, but nuanced. Amazing on so many levels!! What a pleasure to drink!

Single vineyard Gruner. Very delicious

I always love a Gruner Vetliner but this one is very nice! Will buy again.

Standard GV. No complaints but I won’t remember this wine.

Fantastic/balanced, surprising treat, paired well with my filet.

Lime, pear, lemon zest, peach, plum. Great acid, fresh. Perfect porch sitting wine.

Pale gold with scents of papaya and pineapple. This surprisingly off dry example of an aged Grüner was quite delicious. Maybe a hint of botrytis.
