Thoroughly enjoyed this bottle which reminded me of a more concentrated Oregon pinot. Focused on cherry and strawberries, and heavily earth bound. Dry and quenching, it kept me coming back even though each sip had a lasting finish.

Quite herby, medicinal & earthy upon opening, gets better after a few hours (& muc better after 24h).
Beautiful mouthfeel, soft, velvety tannins, kirsch acidity, pure cherry juice. Doesn’t get fully rid of the herbal note though.
This is much more Spätburgundian vs the 2016, which was purer, crisper & much closer to the Pinots of Burgundy or Jura.

Light & elegant - with fresh, juicy acidity and quite surprising grip (big wood). Tart raspberries and red currants, a touch of spice. Beautifully balanced.

Popped and poured. Tight on opening. Blossomed after about an hour of air. Elegant but with nice body. Good deal at $28. Earthy.
