Rheingau trocken Spätburgunder

Although the Rheingau dominates in Riesling, the region’s Pinot Noirs are also noteworthy. From one of the oldest wine makers there, this Spätburgunder is light, balanced acidity, and beautiful layers of fruit.

To young for me but deliciously interesting

Hints of meat with a touch of oven roasted tomatoes with herbs. Light tartness and light silky tannins. Delicious

Strong note, intense

I find every riesling very rich taste wise, as well as on the nose. This one is a bit off dry, medium acidity.

Another Spatburgunder this evening. Much richer than the first.
