Private Selection Alentejo Aragonez Blend

Had this in the restaurant with veal skewer. A bit too full bodied for veal but overall was nice. A pit of polish in the nose from the beginning but went away in a few minutes. Rich and full with aromas of liquorish, leather, dried red fruits, spice and kinda chocolate-vanilla notes. Full bodied and medium soft tannins and high acidity. Huge aging potential.

Deep ruby; medium plus intensity flavors of cherry, red plum, dried fruit leather, pomegranate, cedar, vanilla, baking spices, earth; dry, medium acid, medium plus smooth tannins, high alcohol, full body, medium intensity flavors consistent with aromas; flavors not as concentrated as aromas, but a solid big-bones wine for when you’re in the mood for something “unsubtle”

Tastes like a rioja. I mean, it’s not far off right? Good wine.

2009 vintage. Inky. The nose is exotic.... Licorice, eucalyptus, cassis, vanilla, black pepper, and cherry liquor. Black sour cherries meet charcoal and vanilla on the delineated palette. The driving finish shows layer upon layer as this young wine opens up. Will be great in 5 years.

Big bold nose; all barrel character, like coffee and toast. Big red berry, too. Silky palate, red currant liqueur, but pulls up on finish, getting tight. Long, but needs resolution on finish. Gonna be great.

Full bodied red wine at a nice price

Pretty chunky, curious to see how this would do with another 5 years in bottle.

Opulent. Young, tight and complex. An elegant nose of black and blue fruits, roasted herbs, a smidge of eucalyptus. Medium to full bodied, the finish sails on in bursts of fruit with silky and supple tannins. Well balanced for its size. 18 months in bottle, 18 months in new french oak

Dry, oak, flavorful.
