Savory woodsy scents of cedar and eucalyptus, frankincense and sugi tree incense all carry currants and taut ripened blackberries with a bit of that licorice note we admire among hackberries. The texture is sure and finishes long and full and on the tongue a touch meaty in all its breadth -which I love even now but is sure to become silkier still with a patient rest. Good luck! Aug 15th, 2013Such a baby! This wine needs time. It is showing lots of dark ripe currants and blackberries but it will take a few years for the oak to integrate fully with the fruit. Considering this is one of the smallest releases of Martha's Vineyard ever, it is definitely worth waiting.
