Martha's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Eucalyptus, and cigar box. Cellared direct from winery. Holding up extremely well. Last bottle. 🥵

An impressive amount of still vibrant fruit here. Almost resolved but still entact tannic backbone support a flavor profile of medium intensity red fruit, sage, charred earth and Eucalyptus.

Fill into the neck and beautiful cork. Not as compelling asa 1978 or 1984 a couple of years back, but still a marvelous example of aged Cali Cab. Remarkable to me that there were about 3,000 cases each year. Hard to pick a winner in the first Cab flight. All showed well for their age - a really fun flight.

Quite sound and very Napa. Room to run still.

Much lighter body than WA cab sauv. I am used to. Lots of eucalyptus notes in the nose and flavor. Apparently it used to be next to a eucalyptus grove.

Fine old Martha's, en magnum, purchased on original release, not as good as the '78 or '79, but holding up quite nicely.
