Siletto Vineyard Trousseau

Much riper than any trousseau I’ve ever had but still a cool wine

Earth is a tricky mother. Air carries all manner of agents of fermentation. Time is simultaneously a friend and foe. These are the fine lines danced around with this wine. Bright cherry and soft white pepper are counter-balanced by heady yeast and a bit of secondary fermentation. As much a wine of place as it is, for better or worse, of non-interventionist intent. Principles often have caveats. Terrific fresh bright chewy red fruits with a touch of earth.

Earthy/fruity, Gamay-like character, ripe for treusseau, which is not ripe for any other variety, great the next day too

Shows the alcohol. Kind of crazy that a 14% alc bottle tastes a bit out of whack, but this does. Actually, quite a delicious wine, and carries its weight well, but still bigger than everything else in the table. #TrousseauFest2015

Spice, game, funk, cranberry.

Unique, friendly tart fruit, dried fruit, resin, slight herb, and mineral.

Quite tasty

Terroir. Like a v good Pinot
