Tasted at the Taste of Yountville. @Delectable Wine this is the Handwritten Santa Rita Hills Pinot Noir.

Medium garnet red with a touch of bricking. Classic Pinot nose, delicious for a 2011 vintage. Aromas of twigs, strawberries, cherries, violets and a touch earthy. Medium tannins (5.5/10) and balanced acidity (6/10) with a medium body. Well rounded palate with dried cherries, earthy and some strawberries. Long and lingering finish. Drink till 2025.

Made of 100% Pinot Noir from the Rio Vista Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills AVA. Aged for 12 months in 100% new French oak.

Softer than thought it would be. If you have any, now would be a great time to drink it.

Excellent Pinot noir. Very complex and balanced. Most Pinots I’ve tried have tasted a bit watered down but not this one
