Yellow in color with a golden tint.

Chardonnay notes on the nose.

Dry on the palate and a bit unbalanced.

Medium plus in body with big bubbles and high acidity.

Showing limes, almonds, green apples, bread and over ripen citrus fruits.

Simple, and not for me.

A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Aged on its lees for 35 months.

12% alcohol by volume.

84 points.

$40.

An interesting and complete wine, the Hambledon NV (2016 base) has more of a developed nose than most of its peers, with aromas of fresh toast, burnt butter, lemon and mandarin. The palate is a beautiful affair, clearly very Chardonnay-led with its lemony acidity but with a pleasant oxidative quality that lures you in with all the seduction of a good Champagne.

Very complex stuff, and at this price a veritable bargain too.

Nice light sparkling, not as heavy as champagne but still dry and easily drinkable

I mean, I guess it could be considered a little one dimensional but it's still super smashable fizz. Vote Brexit.
