I likely mentioned in one or more of my posts that I really like the style of the 18 Napa vintage.
This Stag’s Leap was no different.

The first pour was from an off bottle.

It had a beautiful body, excellent fruit, nice mid dark spice and soft earthiness. Good integration for a youngish Napa Cabernet. Well balanced, elegant and smartly polished finish that lasted 90 seconds.

Not worth $225 at the winery but you can find it for far less on the secondary markets.

93-94.

Peppery, full body with lots of flavors. Great with foods not as good as stand alone wine

Solid performer from Hall. Loads of plum, black cherry, black tea and wild berry notes, with a dash of graphite. Gave it a good 1 hr decant and it opened nicely. Fine tannins on the finish. As with most Hall wines it has a lot of fruit forward until it settles in.

Most of the Hall single vineyard Cabs are off the charts. Their Stags Leap is consistently a Top 5 favorite of all wines for me.

Enjoying the 2016 Stags Leap District can for my birthday. What a treat!! The nose brings me to Napa with the bold fruits and freshness, the exciting fleshy fruits and the extraordinary finish is well worth the wait!

Super rich. My favorite cab from the stags leap district. I think it beats Stags Leap Fay.

We had the 2013 Vintage on 7/25/20. A well balanced, fruit forward, full bodied wine. Tastes of blackberry and blueberry. More akin to the Napa floor as opposed to Stags Leap.
