Hall Wines
Stags Leap District Cabernet Sauvignon
Stags Leap District, Napa Valley, California, USA
Peppery, full body with lots of flavors. Great with foods not as good as stand alone wine

Solid performer from Hall. Loads of plum, black cherry, black tea and wild berry notes, with a dash of graphite. Gave it a good 1 hr decant and it opened nicely. Fine tannins on the finish. As with most Hall wines it has a lot of fruit forward until it settles in.

Apr 27th, 2026Most of the Hall single vineyard Cabs are off the charts. Their Stags Leap is consistently a Top 5 favorite of all wines for me.

Dec 31st, 2022Enjoying the 2016 Stags Leap District can for my birthday. What a treat!! The nose brings me to Napa with the bold fruits and freshness, the exciting fleshy fruits and the extraordinary finish is well worth the wait!

We had the 2013 Vintage on 7/25/20. A well balanced, fruit forward, full bodied wine. Tastes of blackberry and blueberry. More akin to the Napa floor as opposed to Stags Leap.
