Jack's Masterpiece Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
A blend of 98% Cabernet Sauvignon & 2% Cabernet Franc, aged 22 Months in 75% New French Oak, grapes dominated by concentrated mountain fruit (Atlas Peak) but sourced from all over Napa. Deep Ruby, medium+ aroma intensity of berry fruits, sweet and pungent spice. 2018 still young. Let it breathe a little bit and the wine starts to express itself. One of my favorites

Jul 9th, 2021I was very surprised how approachable this was. Everything a great Napa cab should be. Rich dark fruits, gentle acidity but with a firm spine, complex and layered palate, and elegant tannins. Just effortlessly gorgeous!

Dec 15th, 2019Fresh herbaceous nose with leather earth undertone. So soft on palette, fruit forward smooth, lingering light tannins, balanced. Almost a sweetness or vanilla that it doesn't need.

May 27th, 2019Initial score was 98-100 so I was holding out waiting for the final from Wine Advocate which ended up 96+,
Not ready for prime time yet,
Quite a bit of heat & very tight.
Try again tomorrow, back to the cooler for the night.
One those ones you open & from the fist sip you know you should of waited 10 years.
