Surprisingly nice 2005. Pleasant fruit opens up with the meal. Jammy but not quite a fruit 'bomb'. Definitely recommend

The 2013 Bodega Classica Lopez de Haro Reserva is medium dark in the glass. The nose is aromatic with violets, cigars, ripe plums and earth. On the palate, we find big, dark fruit, oak spice and a meaty black olive note. Tannins are firm and the acidity is lively, so it's great to sip as well as have it with some steak.

Beautiful ruby color showing light bricking. Oaky notes of cigar box, a hint of black licorice, ripe red fruit. Medium bodied and smooth with subtle tannins. Medium finish. Nice 90.

Good complexity for Rioja at this low price point($11). Nice nose. Flavors of sweet red cherry, brown sugar, and savory herbs/spices. Oak showing a bit heavy.

A blend of 90% Tempranillo, 7% Garnacha and 3% Graciano, deep Ruby with aromas of ripe red fruits and pepper spice. On the palate blackberry and cherry on a smooth tannin frame, easy drinking lingering medium finish. Nice value.

A little tight at first, but it opens up beautifully. Vanilla and red berries on the nose and fruit punch throughout.
