Youthful purple. Dark berries, violet and black olive on the deeply scented nose. Juicy, penetrating and spicy on the palate, offering densely packed, slow-to-open blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a smoky topnote. Chewy tannins give shape to the persistent, spice-tinged finish, which strongly repeats the cherry note. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, Mar 2016)

Gordon's tasting 9/20/16. '13 nose of spring flowers mixed with stony fruit and minerals. Concentrated. Palate that's acidic and balanced by deep floral and black fruit character. Long finish of red fruit shorting.
