Medium lemon color. Pronounced nose. Lemon custard, honey, quince, popcorn, Smokey. Medium+ acidity, high alcohol, medium+ body. The high alcohol and the lees mask the fruit and the resulting sensation is a lack of freshness.

Bright gold. Rich tropical acidity above viscous creamy oak. Always legendary.

Mike Grgich, the “King of Chardonnay” farms w/o pesticides and certified organic. Aged 10 months and did not undergo malolactic fermentation. Pale gold straw with aromas of stone, tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate apple, melon and pear flavors, with some orange zest and toasty notes. Nice balance with acidity on lingering finish on a spicy mineral ending. Not your typical CA Chard, very nice!

Felt flabby initially and unstructured. Nice body and balance of malo and oak - but fell short Compared to racing acidity from European Riesling. (Day 1, 8.5) On day two on its own this is pretty sophisticated and a joy to drink and likely showing off some of the best domestic Chardonnay I’ve had

The Winemaker that started the Revolution. I am surprised that this wine isn’t mentioned with other california super chards. Golden color, balanced between citrus and oak, minerality and stone fruit. A new favorite!

Extremely well balanced. It has everything I would want in a Chardonnay. Creamy richness, ripe tropical fruits, vanilla, oak, minerality, & plenty of acid. Just gorgeous.

An extremely well executed CA chard. Yes there's plenty of oak, but it intertwines it's delicate fingers with the fruit and the result is beautiful. Tropical fruits, cream, vanilla bean, spice and white and yellow flowers. Beautiful balance!

Full bright squeezed lemon, lemon custard, orange peel, citrus blossoms, soft elegant minerality, nice acidity and good finish. Better this time than the last.
