Waipara Valley Pinot Noir

elegant. mid translucent , clear and clean. pleasant red current and cherry, touch of earthy and oak. dry, mid acidity and well grained tannin, with youth balanced thickness of texture. Burgundy style elegant one. Now it is ready but it seems to be worth waiting for a couple of yrs.

Great one. Just right body

Pale ruby color.
Aromas of strawberry jam, buttered toast.
Dry. Flavors of fresh ripe strawberries, red cherry, hint of cream soda or something fizzy. Delicious!

Earthy. Quite complex. Clay dominant giving great texture. Rounder and smoother than nor wester. Finesse, savoury. Singing.

Burgundian in weight, balance, and flavour profile. Dark savoury fruit. Vosne spice. Long, Great balance. Strong buy!

Deep ruby. Very savoury, with sour cherries, and strong sandalwood spice. Fine tannins. Stemmy. A food wine.

Very pleasant drinking without being captivating.

Drank it at home and loved it after a phase of drinking more fuller-bodied wine. Would def get again. Got it on sale in NZ but it travelled well to Honolulu.

Nice! Cherry and spice but balanced by beautifully integrated tannins providing a lovely backbone. Medium body and finish. New oak is still quite front row but overall showing signs of mellowing. Should keep evolving nicely.
