Definitely not lacking, but difficult to justify the price tag, at least for the 2014. Getting a medium-full body, but soft and smooth. It's balanced well but is missing the punch that would indicate aging ability and stability. Red to dark fruits with fig, plum, and jam. Some leather and tobacco, but I expected a bit more.

I’m not the best at predicting how wine ages, but this strikes me as a wine with a long thrilling life ahead of it. Aggressive tannins shape an undercurrent of dark plum and wild dark berry fruit. Heavy chalky notes. Tightly wound with great potential energy underneath dryingtannins that produce pith-like flavors (blood orange pith?). Not close to ready yet

Rich and vibrant. Big black fruit and deep pepper flavor made this a wonderful experience. Tannin structure present and longer finish.

Coarse, hard to drink. Not at all on a par with other wineries from the same region.

2015 vintage. Tasted at the winery, the only one that grows Sangiovese in the appellation, 15% in this case. Still needs a couple of years to soften the tannins (aged in the winery for two years). Twice the potential as compared to the 2014, which was a difficult year in Italy
