Granito del Cadalso
Sierra de Gredos Garnacha
Forest floor of a nose -
Yet, this is one to not let the nose stop you from the drink.
Heavier side of light bodied, subtle sugarless fruits - cherry, blueberry, menthol, mint. A clenched fist of tannin and acidity are balanced within, then persimmon acidity remains.
Great wine for a great price.

Bright ruby in color. A ripe nose with notes of red fruit, dried herbs and flinty like minerals. In the mouth gobs of ripe cherries, raspberry jam, and currants ride fine tannins and balanced acidic to a smokey and granite laden finish.

Mar 5th, 2020Fresh, vibrant. A little barnyard on the nose initially, ripe fruit and lighter bodied than other Grenaches I’ve had

Dec 14th, 2017My first impression of this wine was about 6mos ago. Enjoyed it but wasn't particularly impressed given my Standom for these guys'projects. Turns out it just needed a little time because this bottle was killer, especially for the price. 🍓🪨🤑

Nov 6th, 2020A bright, easy to enjoy bottle from Daniel y Fernando at a BTG price point. Fruity and just a touch volatile, sandy and mineral on the finish. It offers a peek at the lighter side of Garnacha from the Gredos, but just a peek. Would be an amazing value at $12-13 retail, but worth a spin nonetheless.
(side note: anyone else bothered by the flood of spam & hacked accts here lately?)

Nice little gravely Grenache. Has you thinking about geology. All sorts of rocks. The upper crust of red cherries, rose petal and mint. Overall it's well balanced with a velvety texture, puckering acid and a little bit of tannin.

Nov 27th, 2021Pleasantly surprised, had a unique oakiness scent and then tasted just as good. Compelling enough to drink by itself and probably versatile with different foods.

Oct 29th, 2020Garnacha from the mountains outside Madrid. Grows on pink granite soils. A very cherry, light and mineral wine. Rather similar to some Cotes-du-Rhône. 13.5% abv.
