This wine is a rusty red color in the glass. The nose carries a strong aroma of sweet cherries, leather and a bit of cedar and cigar box. The palate shows a darker side, with heavy mineral notes draped over the cherry flavor. The wine’s acidity is fresh and the finish is savory. I bought it for cooking a pot roast, but very much enjoyed sipping a glass.

Medium bodied, easy Italian wine. Not overly complex

Maybe too young. Too grapey, too fruity, too jammy.

A perfectly serviceable IGT. I used it to make my red sauce and then enjoyed it with a rustic rigatoni sausage pie. It added authenticity to the dish.

This was pretty tasty for the price. Medium bodied. Did well with cheese and charcuterie.

A very good wine and not just for the price. It was super smooth and full of flavor. I liked that it was fruity and full of flavored and didn't over power the meal it was paired with. A very nice find. Highly recommend it.

Whole Foods, $8

Light Ruby color with an equally light and fruity nose. Easy drinking and light to medium body. Simple unripe strawberry with a mineral aftertaste, slightly acidic but not dry. Very much enjoyed this considering the price, reminds me of summer sunshine!

Doesn’t linger at all, wasn’t too into it.

Like it, would buy it again. Ate with penne, meatballs and tomato cream sauce.
