Vintage 2012 | Xarel-lo, Macabeu. 91 months sur lie. Pinnacle of purity. Finesse. I drink this Cava to memorize my youngest uncle Frans who passed away last week in Spain. My parents went on holiday to Spain in the seventies; where I got caught with passion for wine. Rest In Peace.

Vintage 2011 / 75% Xarel-lo 25% Macabeu 7 years sur lattes, extremely vibrant cava with a light weight constitution, which you can also call finesse. First time I drank Illustros. Will not be the last.

Certainly a pleasure and undoubtedly the finest Spanish sparkler we’ve had the pleasure to drink. Aromas began to show an hour in. Toasted bread, lemon curd, softer mousse, bitterness on the finish. Beautiful work.

This is the best Cava I have ever had, even if it calls itself a Corpinnat. Great yeasty flavors and nose. Nice bubbles. Still, at its high price, there is no comparison with Champagne.
