Red licorice, tart red fruits, white pepper, cured meat, brine. Always a stellar showing.

Alberto Aiello Graci's wonderful Nerello Mascalese, suitcase import from his N. Etna vineyard. Bright red cherries, spice/herb notes, & smoky, earthy volcanic undertones

High-altitude minerality meets deep, intense fruit: Pinot+Nebbiolo = Nerello

Alberto Graci Etna rosso 2011. Non filtrato. Tannino un po' troppo rustico, fresco sapido. I profumi da affinamento prevaricano il frutto. Poco armonico. Il campione deve ancora stabilizzarsi, buona longevità

Dark burgundy in color, smell of cherry, herb, and spice, good acidity with a lingering finish and firm tannin. Very satisfying and smooth. An excellent red to be drinking while having seafood, this paired wonderfully with the tuna roe pasta I had.

Good recommendation at Heyday restaurant, Minneapolis. Really interesting, some smoke, stewed fruit but light body.

Wow. Stinkiest wine I've ever had. If I wait, strawberry.
