Gorman Winery
The Pixie Red Mountain Syrah
The big aromas of boysenberries, black currant, cloves, lilacs, and sweet meats carry through to the palate. Definitely serve this at cellar temperature and enjoy the long savory finish. More New World than Old World, but it is well crafted.

Mar 22nd, 2016Even though I was drinking the 2008 and 2024, this still took several hours of
decanting to open properly. Once it did, it really showed out – notes of dark fruit, like blackberry, but mostly luscious notes of leather, bacon fat, oak and tobacco. The last sip I took was the best sip. Really good.
