1924 Limited Edition Bourbon Barrel Aged Double Black Lodi Cabernet Sauvignon

Loved this. Fruity with oak and Smokey finish.

Had the 2022 on Christmas Eve of 2024. Lots of oak with a very dry finish. Not a lot of body. Not a lot of fruit. Not a bad wine. Not a great wine. Admittedly, I am a little baffled by it’s 9.0 overage.

Balanced. Dry hints of blackberry, fig and brown sugar. Not bad.

Very strong vanilla, then caramel and fruity sweetness.

Very full bodied wine without the dryness. The blackberries really come through giving jt a deep berry aftertaste without it being a sweet wine. Had it with beef marinara bow-tie pasta. Feels more like a steak and potato wine.

I’m a whiskey girl… trying wine aged in bourbon barrels will always be up my alley. Full body for my taste buds with a little deep twang with the barrel. Would get again not sure if it’s actually limited edition. Worth a try for anyone
