Actually this is the Colmar 538 Selection. A fabulous PN with tastes of cherry and strawberry and just enough earth. Most impressive is the smooth and silky mouth feel. Wonderful finish.

A dark, brooding fruit nose of black cherry and pomegranate meets you, then hints of earth and spice stumble out. Killer structure allows for tart cherries and cranberries to shine. "California Pinot with Oregon elegance," is the only way I can describe it. Drinks much higher than the SRP ($27).

Serviceable, but a bit on the weak side of Pinot.

I'll always have a soft spot for wines from Carneros. Drank this with the winemaker who says his ideal for these wines is to have about 5 years on them. This was a bit on the bigger side, but nicely balanced.

Lighter and a bit thin. Ok fruit but could use more heft on the mid palate.

Green pepper and spice, strong over-ripe fruit like raisins or prunes, silky, a bit of heat. Great body for a Pinot

$37, worth every cent. Mature, silky, full. Tastes complex and complete like a nice cab but with Pinot fruits: prunes, raison, old grapes lots of tannins. Wish I could afford to drink this every night

We had this on 11/18-19/17. Light Ruby color. Tart cherry, cranberry and even some cinnamon on the palate. Smooth finish to this light bodied wine.
