Gloria Ferrer
Carneros Pinot Noir
Actually this is the Colmar 538 Selection. A fabulous PN with tastes of cherry and strawberry and just enough earth. Most impressive is the smooth and silky mouth feel. Wonderful finish.

1 person found it helpfulDec 30th, 2017A dark, brooding fruit nose of black cherry and pomegranate meets you, then hints of earth and spice stumble out. Killer structure allows for tart cherries and cranberries to shine. "California Pinot with Oregon elegance," is the only way I can describe it. Drinks much higher than the SRP ($27).

Jul 8th, 2017I'll always have a soft spot for wines from Carneros. Drank this with the winemaker who says his ideal for these wines is to have about 5 years on them. This was a bit on the bigger side, but nicely balanced.

Apr 1st, 2016Lighter and a bit thin. Ok fruit but could use more heft on the mid palate.

Mar 30th, 20162011 Vintage, it is a fantastic bargain at $20, not sure why everyone was down on it in their reviews. It has the delicate rose almost transparent quality. It starts out a with slight red fruit and opens up to deep red cherries. I think it is hard to find a good Pinot for $20 or less from Cali, this is a lot better than most at that price point. They also have some great bubbles at great prices, great bargain, all estate grown fruit🇺🇸

Jul 6th, 2015Dry Pinot, good balance, earthiness and spice. Silky with raspberry, plum and dark cherry notes. Aa good wine for roast chicken, grilled salmon or mushroom risotto.

May 24th, 2014I am loving the colors..beautiful ruby red fades into some bricking leading to a clear rim.
Excited to find a 10 year Pinot at my local grocery wine dept! 🤙 Cork was bit of a challenge, surprisingly no sediment.
Nothing to jump up & down about but I am enjoying where this wine is ...in it's evolution. Favors a chill, presents w/ baking spices (cardamom) vanilla and raspberry preserve.
