One of my "go-to" California Pinots! Flavors of blueberry, dark cherry, plum, mushroom and coffee and spice. A pretty wine with a long finish. — 10 years ago
Pomegranate, bing cherry, raspberry, spice and tea notes. Best though is the wild strawberry with a long finish. Wonderful, affordable Pinot Noir! Delicious now or in 3 years. Great value über $25! — 10 years ago
Silky tannins, blackberry, gorgeous crème de cassis. Rich but lighter body than other Caymus cabs. Pretty decent now but should improve in a few years. I see RP gives it a 96. Probably over hyped but a good buy at $55. — 10 years ago
@RidgeVineyards '06 Santa Cruz Mtn. Estate #Cabernet blend --56% Cabernet, 42% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Red currant, cardamom, vanilla and licorice and toasted oak. Velvety and Bordeaux-like. Sweet tannins. Needs at least an hour decant. This is a beauty! #RidgeVineyards #cuvee — 10 years ago
This is a beauty already. Rich dark fruit, earthiness, and blackberry fill the senses. Lingering notes of leather, spice, black cherry. This is the new "E ticket" on Howell Mountain. But if you can find! — 10 years ago
This is a a sipping 2011 white Rhone delight! Love the old world softness. Notes of citrus, green apple and melon with a lingering finish. William Allen wines are amazing if you can find them! — 10 years ago
This Luna Matta Vineyard is classic Tuscany in California! Taste dark black cherry, spices, thyme, mushroom and the earth and graphite it came from. Brian and Stephanie Terrizzi have a winery worth checking out! — 10 years ago
This is flat out a beauty! An outrageous Pinot. The earthiness and graphite is so well rounded out with classic dark fruits. The hint of minerals and oak notes add to the long finish! A Burgundian-like beauty! — 10 years ago
Elegant wine. Wild strawberry and dried dark cherry and cassis. Earthiness and tobacco give this wine the depth one would expect. Open 60-90 minutes before service. — 10 years ago

Viña Alicia '07 San Alberto Syrah Luján de Cuyo. Black fruits, spicy, earthy and savory. I love the plum and blackberry notes. Perfect with enchiladas and Mexicali salad. Only issue I had was the cork broke in half. But a strainer helped get the wine into the decanter clean. — 10 years ago
