Another Aussie Shiraz with a ton of fruit and still very primary for its age. I get the sense that these wines shed their baby fat and then hold in this state for some time. And again very resolved tannic structure, quite lithe. I didn’t get the sense that this would develop the secondary and tertiary character that I enjoy in old world Syrah but I’m a total neophyte when it comes to Australia so could well be wrong

This was great. A big wine but with balance and a great finish...went well with my barbecue. Still apparently quite young, I can see it aging effortlessly over the next 5 years

From memory, but holy cow was this great. Incredibly deep and complex, but not overpowered. Outstanding!

From a #coravin bottle god knows when. Delicious, almost oozing mint chocolate coffee, red current & plum, toasted vanilla bean, solid acid to balance this hedonism

Brawny and muscular! Just what I expected for an Aussie Shiraz blend. Fragrant aromas of blueberries. Black fruits, beef jerky and black olives on the palate. Chewy tannins and an impressive long finish. Drinks great by itself. Didn't pair well with food, especially salty foods.

2005 vintage. Nose showing the Cabernet influence. The palate more the Shiraz. Not a Barossa blockbuster like its big brother Amon Ra. Good with little lamb steaks. 17+.
