Barolo Nebbiolo

A little faded and dry at the edges. Some tea and intense but lifted fruit. Good but could have been great a while ago

Unbelievable., this is intense, focussed, deep, rich. Amazing deep fruit, garrigue, iodine,. Incredibly primary given its age. Spectacular

Quite high toned. Light cherry, some soft red fruit, quite pure and clear. Cloudy.A little under and suffers by comparison to some of the great wines tonight, but this is pretty and delicate.

Great nose as usual, tannins present but certainly not harsh, smooth with time. Dried red fruits, earth, rose, black tea...awesome in magnum

Exceptional bottle. So fresh and vibrant. Dark fruit hints of balsamic and soy with dark floral edge with rich hen of the woods mushroom edge. Very attractive over 2.5 hours.

With the news of Beppe Rinaldi’s grave condition making the rounds, Il Professore and I wanted to share a bottle of Rinaldi Barolo. The 1971 was made by Beppe’s father, Battista, and was a real treat to drink. (Antonio Galloni, Vinous, December 2018)

Corked. Argh. The color and fill is beautiful but it’s screwed.ugh

So lively. Almost wish we waited another 5-10 years.

Horizontal tasting with 14 Barolos from '67. This was by far the biggest of them with the healthiest acidity but almost going thru a closed period. This can even age some more. There was a beautiful nose that appeared after dinner with violets and roses and dark dark cherries.
