Not super expressive just yet but still plenty to like.

Interesting stuff. Tight, lean and minerals on the attack. An hour later it was fatter and fleshier, more melon than citrus. Awesome stuff.

Served double blind. Light golden color with medium viscosity; no signs of sediment or gas. On the nose, a complex mix of stone fruits, melon, citrus, some tropical fruits. On the palate, more stone fruits, melon, citrus and nondescript tropical fruits, lanolin, wet rock…maybe Chenin(??) but I don’t get white flowers on the nose. Whatever, this is, it’s delicious. Fresh and long with lovely minerality and fit body, medium acid…a wine of texture. I was stumped. I went with a recent vintage of Chenin from a non-traditional region though I didn't like my pick and I wondered out loud if it could be Garganega. Low and behold, it was a blend of Garganega, Trebbiano Toscano, Sauvignon Bianco, Chardonnay, Saorin. No wonder I was so flummoxed. Who cares, this is awesome and I want more of this in my life!

Aromatic and heady with melon, stalky wild flower and exotic tropical fruit notes like jack fruit? Quite unctuous and textural on the palate of medium plus intensity - soft acid. No further cellaring required. An eclectic mix of Garganega, Trebbiano and Sauvignon Bianco. Finishes with a refreshing bitterness. Good and different - a nice change.

I enjoyed this on release but this looks superb after a few years of cellaring. Rich and exotic with a dry Sauternes feel and an abundance of textural complexity - 2014
