Dinner with friends in Brooklyn proceeded with this rather interesting Barbera. I like Barbera a lot. I also like that it is a fraction of the price of the Barolos. The Scudetto, aged ten years, was showing beautifully with dense black fruits and plenty of grip. Ripe but with bite, it went beautifully with the lovingly prepared home cooked meal.

Balanced so well. Black fruits, minerals, and tannin. Just the right amount of ripeness.
