Cab Franc comes to mind. Lighter bodied and very green. Delicate with fine tannins. Great on its own or with charcuterie. Not getting any better.

Beautiful perfumes: rose water, cherry blossoms, even gentle peony. Lilting red fruits... barely-ripe plum. Black sand beach on a warm day. Lovely, delicate, head-in-the-clouds wine just enough of a grip to hold on to the ground.

Drying, dusty tannins frame proper red fruits, hints of tar and dried herbs. Solid but lacks excitement. Drink now.
