Giacosa Fratelli
Nebbiolo d'Alba
Good easy sipping neb. White pepper and dry spices, maybe even dried fruit undertones. For the price it’s even better.

Aug 21st, 2021Medium red color, not too brickish. Pale, almost. Leathery and dusty on the nose, Dried red cherries on the palate, medium weight. Good acid. Was open for 2 days.
Not expensive, a good deal.

Mar 30th, 2022Tannic at first, mellowed as it opened. Better on day 2. Cherry , but didn’t have that Nebbiolo signature. Pleasant enough for the price, but a little disappointing

Dec 23rd, 2021Cranberry, sour cherry, rhubarb, white pepper, leather, licorice. On palate, tomato water, herbs, and earth join in. Right, but a little hot and a touch astringent but opening up with air. (Maybe should have opened it a bit earlier given that it’s still very young .)
