Giacomo Brezza & Figli
Brezza Barolo Nebbiolo
Floral and inviting with bitter cherry and tar. Tannins are already softening for 2014. Love the glass cap. If everyone could try this - more people would drink Barolo.

Aug 7th, 20221965, birth year wine. Reportedly a terrible vintage for Barolo (and rest of Earth), and this bottle was deep into the neck with cork that exploded (even with Durant). Despite all this, the wine was great! Translucent, olive, floral, some red fruit left, silky tannins.

Dec 20th, 2021Very nice but still definitely could use some time to resolve. Decanted for 2 hours and had with pork chops. Nose is nearly incredible - dark cherry leaps from the glass. At this stage the tannins are somewhat unintegrated - one to try in another year or two. Excellent freshness on the long finish.

Oct 14th, 2020Quite fruity for a Barolo, with dark fruit dominant. Very nice structure with juicy, ripe tannins, nice balance, a sharp edge adds complexity. Already drinkable.

May 18th, 2019A scent of wet stones and crushed flowers provides support for a moderate tannin pallet of tar, earth, dark fruits, and light kitchen spice. Superb when paired with fettuccine alfredo. Eminently enjoyable singularly...don't miss out.
