Elegant. Brick with Orange rim. Taste like old Bourgogne, slightly closed bouquet and dark berries, forest floor and umami. Dry, mid lingering acidity and vervety tannin. By the glass then couldn’t see exact vintage but possibly 10 yrs +. Dried flowers, not tar I felt.

Open bouquet immediately but mostly forest floor and dusty nose. All out of whack on the palate and tasted strongly of iron! After one hour or two open, extremely beautiful aromas of violets and flowers filled the glass, while the earthier truffle smelling ones remained in the background. After 6-7 hours the wine was soft and supple but still with plenty of acid and dark fruits and that minerally iron like finish. Amazing transformation although I think still a little too young due to acid ... only 13,5% alcohol! Intriguing wine #barolo #borgogno #reserve #piedmontwines

A little more than I expected and at a reasonable price point. Dried cherries, tobacco.

Wonderful wine but Needs to age. If drinking young (<15 years) suggest pairing with a big and succulent meal.
