To misquote Paul Simon, “Still tar and roses after all these years.” Marvelous on the nose . Layered, strawberry. I purchased this wine fairly recently not quite sure what shape it would be in. Huge kudos to Chambers Street Wines for not only finding such beauties but finding wines which have been well cared for over many decades. — 5 years ago
Lovely nose. Strawberry fruit, nice balance but a little odd vegetal finish. Perhaps that dissipates in a few years — 5 years ago
A little more than I expected and at a reasonable price point. Dried cherries, tobacco. — 5 years ago
Clearly a well constructed wine. Kirsch/compote. A bit too much jam for me at this point but I have a bunch and will look forward to readdressing in another 24 months or so. — 5 years ago
Very floral. Strawberry and mocha. Drinking very nicely . Not sure if this will be the case in a few years — 6 years ago
Though I am feeling pretty “over” Washington Syrah , this remains (along with Gramercy) a wine I am happy seeing in my cellar. Nice balance with some licorice pulling up the rear from a lot of dark chocolate — 5 years ago
2 hr decant on this very bordeaux-like beauty.upfront sweetness (cherry? Oak?) gives way to some dark fruit and a long finish.still plenty of gas in the tank. — 5 years ago
Long, mint and cinnamon. Once in a while it is nice to feel like you are drinking a great bottle at exactly the right time. — 5 years ago

Drinking quite nicely. 1hr decant. Big nose with a small bit of curry. Savory meat & bramble with iron pulling up the rear. Should last a long time — 5 years ago
