Jan 1st, 2024The first bottle was corked, but the second came quickly to the rescue. Boom! Absolutely singing. Roses, cherries, and spices on the nose. On the palate, red and black fruits, orange peel, and a nice earthy edge. Full-bodied with chewy tannins, yet the finish was almost ethereal. Loved the energy here! Plus, there’s plenty of stuffing to age.

Fresh rosemary, sage. A little hint of cedar. Dried violets. Potpourri.
Medium to full tannins.
Medium acid.
Peppery, unripened plum skin.
Tobacco, leathery. Still very young but drinkable with a hours of decanting. Will make a great breakfast wine if you know what I mean.
