This is a fun Sancerre rouge. I've had others more elegant, however that's not what this wine is about. It's bold and interesting and quirky- all in a charming way. Definitely a meditation wine.

Mar 23rd, 2015Morello cherries, green & black peppercorns, haystack, game, marjoram, dried thyme, mint. Rounded acidity/minimal smooth velvet tannins, medium bodied, satin texture, herbal-gamy finish. Quirky with prominent herbal notes; some reduction that pairs well with venison, red meats, funky cheeses. Do not expect a polished-elegant Pinot Noir.

Jul 9th, 2018First Rosé of the season in Seattle, clocking in with sunshine and 58 degrees 😃. Pretty dark on the eye: rose gold, almost burnt orange. Nose sees minerality, some bright red strawberries and raspberries, red and white flowers abound. Palette sees a healthy does of acid (medium), lots of minerality, more bright red fruits, with long finish that moves slowly across your palette.
