Georges Dubœuf
Beaujolais Nouveau Gamay Rosé
Nose has strawberry/banana/cotton candy/citrus.
Palate is light, some sweetness on the initial approach, then leading to a flowery cherry finish, which is brief and forgettable.

So this was a planned experiment, I'm not a huge Nouveau fan, but I do like to buy a bottle (or two this time) annually. Mostly for science and curiosity of the upcoming vintage. When I saw a rosé version for 2018 (first year offered to my knowledge), I grabbed a couple bottles, the stuff is cheap and easily disposable by several means. One of which could be drinking if you are feeling some despair over all the 2018 Bordeaux you're buying, knowing full well you can't enjoy it for like 20 years. So why not partake in the exact opposite of that experience?
I'm not sure, but I think this actually picked up a little since November 2018, we're nearly 7mo past release.
Prior notes apply, but tonight I'm picking up a bit of watermelon rind on the finish, slightly zingy, interesting.

Bright sour cherry flavor. Medium body, not as acidic nor delicate as a Provence Rosé. Delicious in it's own right. Fruit forward and some chalky minerals in the background. A delightful fruity rosé, crowd pleaser for sure.
