#dolcetto #piemonte more charcoal and ash to this vintage and this vintage and mineral and fine grained tannins less dense. First vintage going back to submerged cap.

Beautiful, dark sour cherries, with a bit of kirsch and a touch of spice. Juicy, very juicy on the palate with fresh, sappy tannins and great purity of fruit. Slightly rustic yet full of character and personality. This is just a beauty and even better slightly chilled.
A great wine.

What a nose! Almond, cherry, red currant, some mushroomy notes too along some meaty touches. This is very inviting and quite big and bold for what my internal software is used to associate with dolcetto. The palate is lovely and great! A great acid drive, a great width, a grainy yet soft mouthfeel, some red currant and cherry notes all along, some tannins in the rear that disturb slightly the mouthfeel making it grainy, somehow. The finish is long and fruity with a tiny salty, meaty note that pops up in the end that recalls those meaty touches that appeared on the nose. This is great but it feels so young and now I'm a bit sad that I bought only one bottle. This deserves to be left on the side for another 5-7 years

Oct 14th, 2022Very dark, lots of Dolcetto tannins. Bright and a little rougher around the edges than most Dolcetto. Wet charcoal, wet leather, wet metal, but dry blackberry. From Main Street Wine and Gourmet, Orleans.
