Expressive nose with orange peel, coffee, fennel, lemmon, complex. Medium bodied with the bitterness and tannin harshness of Barolo. A baby. Clean, long, with a sense of place. Tannins are tough right now

Light reddish in color with light intensity, and fresh red fruits on the nose.

Medium plus in body with medium plus acidity.

Dry on the palate with mild complexity.

Showing red currants, cherries, strawberries light wood, spices, coffee and dark chocolates.

Tangy finish with fine grained tannins and tangy raspberries.

This is a delicious Barolo. Still very young and needs time to mature properly.

Elegant and rich. Fresh, easy drinking, and already enjoyable, even by itself. Showing nice complexity and mouthfeel.

Needs time to open up properly, so be patient. Good by itself or with food.

Would be nice to revisit it in 10 years.

100% Nebbiolo grapes were grown at 1,200 feet of elevation. Vines are 40 to 90 year old vines. Aged for 42 months in large Slavonian wood barrels.

Grandes Dames tasting. 2016 Barolos. My 4th, group 1st. Mint and dark cherry aromas.

Rose, violets, some tart black cherry juice, wild red bramble fruit, cherry pit/marzipan and herbs. Beautiful, smooth, tart, and elegant, delicate tannins. Great structure, and this is drinking so smoothly now though took 3 days to open and could definitely use 3-5 years more cellar time.

Still a baby. Needed 2 hours in the decanter.

The evenings winner, perfect barolo nose, medium everything but where all components act synergistically to create palate art, with mile long finish.

Tomato stem, clove, mushroom, game, and thyme. Still searing acid and slightly softened tannins.

Softer and more feminine with a modern flare. Would have guessed Barbaresco.
