Podium Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore Verdicchio
Quite a textural wine, not too much fruit, very mineral. Fat and oily.
Long and good. It can age.
It's fresh.
Quite hard to approach the first time.
Verdicchio is a great grape variety IMO, so underrated.
There are several great producers and not expensive at all.

A beautiful rendition full of yellow fruit (apple, pear, lemon, melon) with ginger spice and viscosity of honey but not cloying which adds a nice weight on the finish. The real strength lies in the panorama of flavors that blend together on the palette and expands the texture nicely while combining the fresh and sour flavors

Feb 9th, 2023Medium straw colour . Quite lean and focused on the nose at first , white stone fruits , peach , apricot , blanched almonds, sage . On the palate quite rich and creamy , just balanced acidity with good intensity of similar fruits to the nose , white peach , touch of apricot, with a herbal touch on the finish. A little bit fat , with the alcohol showing through a little , but with ok length and balance overall. The following day this shows a little better balance , and integration . The texture of this wine is made for food and will probably age quite well over the next 5 or so years
