50% off wine night at Rare Steakhouse.

Deep purplish red. Dark spices with black currants, anise and perfume on the nose. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium plus bodied. Dark cherries on the palate with some cocoa, minerality, cassis and graphite. Long and gravelly finish. Drink till 2028.

A massive wine made by a petite winemaker. I think I opened it too soon, the tannins are still really big. True varietal character, the fruit is ripe, rich and black showing cassis, black cherry and blackberry. And there are savory and dried herb notes with cigar box nuances. This is a dry wine with mouthwatering, juicy acidity, layers of texture, and a persistent finish.

Deep ruby red. Rich and dark nose with layers of cocoa, cassis, dark red berries, dark gravel, tobacco leaves and some dark floral notes. Tannic backbone (7.5/10) and medium plus to full bodied. Layers of black currants, bramble berries, spices, and a hint of eucalyptus or mint in the finish. Dark minerality in the long dry finish. Very young and will definitely improve with time. Drink from 2019 till 2028. (92+)

Blackberry, cassis, mocha, licorice, vanilla, oak and eucalyptus. Great structure and big, chewy tannins.

Big dark jammy fruit, with savory tones, hints of white pepper, tannins are big but not too grippy. Finish goes on for quite a bit, layers of sweet and savory flavors.

Having Galerie Napa Valley Cab Pleinaire with friends. Group score is 9.5. Ripe, jammy, soft palate blueberry/blue fruit. Great with our French dip sandwiches.
