Turns out Gruner ages pretty well! Tasted like a peppery white burgundy

White melon and flowers, but kind of flabby.

I love a good bottle of wine. Pineapple, honey, crisp & very light acidity. May I please have another bottle! A rare bottle indeed. Insanely good!

2003 vintage, developed well. I preferred cooler ones.

I am not sure if this was in an awkward phase or just a touch too blousy & botrytized to really floor me. Splitting hairs a bit here, because this was still excellent. Crushed the roast chicken w/ parsnip, brussels & pancetta.

Indian summer in a glass. Grilled pineapple, marzipan, saffron, honeysuckle, white pepper and wet rocks. Plenty of acidity (for a GruVe), great structure and complexity and density, as well.
Terrific wine!

Great acidity. Worried about the age but it really went well with Thai food.
