Dark fruit, earth/iron/funk. Probably peaking or close to it, as the fruit is starting to take a back seat and I think this one needs the fruit to stay in balance

Holding up remarkably well from the hot 2003 vintage, the Jeunes-Rois from Frederic Magnien is quite good. Still retaining a lot of fruit given its age, the wine had some great secondary aromas, was balanced, and had a nice, lingering finish. Evolved nicely in the glass over the course of an hour or so, too. Wish I had a few more of these in the cellar!
