Fleurs de Prairie
Côtes de Provence Sparkling Rosé Blend
It’s a rosé kind of week in the TC household! We cracked into this 2016 Fleurs de Prairie Rosé from the Cotes de Provence (South of France 🇫🇷) for #winewednesday last night and what a beauty it is inside and outside! We picked it up for $25 from Dan Murphy’s.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s an onion skin colour in the glass with notes of toffee apple, tangerine and citrus on the nose. While in the mouth it’s bursting with juicy strawberries and refreshing lemon citrus. Both the hubby and I enjoyed it!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine

For a Rosé, which I normally don’t like, this one is pretty good. Received this as a hostess gift. Not too much floral, tastes of strawberry and citrus. Happy Rosé Day!!

While the usual suspects are present (garden herbs and ripe strawberries) this selection offers an unusual (for the expression) bouquet of vegetal/bell peppers reminiscent of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. This is a great selection that’s balanced perfectly.

Jul 6th, 2017Very drinkable summer wine. Strawberries with a great sweet/acidic balance (typical of Provençal roses). Strawberry, melon with a crisp finish.
