Finca Nueva
Fermentado en Barrica Rioja White Blend

Decent & solid, in a rather uninspiring way. The wood (?) adds some creaminess, which is my seducer.

Approaches the complexities of a Chablis. Impressive because it's made without the Chardonnay grapes... and the only French here is the oak. A nice creaminess to it.

Lively straw color. Hints of apricot and lemon zest. Very smoothly integrated oak leaving a creamy mouthfeel. Crisp and elegant.

Peachy must on the nose, minerality and crisp lemon rind on the medium bodied mouhfeel.. Fairly nice white.

75% Viura, 25% malvasia. 1/3 barrel fermented and aged 3 months in French oak. Crisp and quite lean, with a mineral backbone and touch of vanilla on the finish. I was expecting more flesh considering their successfully modern tintos. A bit overpriced.

I didn't care for this at all. Much like a Chablis and zin, not appealing enough for a second glass. And I tried!
