Really beautiful Reserva that bends towards the earthy side of things. 95% Tempranillo and 5% Manuela and Garnacha. That 5% makes a difference because it brings out the fruit, otherwise it’s be less dimensional. Nice dark red color with slight browning on the edge. A good floral bouquet that features violets rather heavily along with dark cherries. Lots of vanilla too. Ripened black cherries, caramel, a touch of iron. Has some heat and spices.

🔥 - really impressive, powerfully built, def oak influenced but had the guts & stuffing to end up in harmonious balance: gobs of black & red fruit, but some lead pencil, tobacco leaf, cassis, tomato plant, spice - voluptuous aromatics carried through to palate. Impressive structure along w/modest acidity really kept things moving through to long caressing finish

Flavorful light style of Rioja. This Rioja was very juicy and fruit-forward, and was filled with a complex set of flavors. Highly recommended and a good value.
