Fillaboa
Rías Baixas Albariño
Crisp, with complex layers of fruit and minerals. Nice acidity to balance. Very good.

Sep 6th, 2020Starts off creamy and lush, no doubt thanks to the lees aging. But then the matcha green tea shines through on top of citrus and herbs.
I feel like I’m back in Tchai-Ovna, the house of tea in Glasgow. Fun!

From Renowned Galicia Spain, clear, straw yellow with tropical and citrus aromas and a bit of spice. On the palate green apple, pineapple, melon and hints of lemon citrus, almost creamy. Well integrated acidity with a lingering finish ending with citrus and mineral notes. Nice value!

Jul 4th, 2019Finally a decent Albariño in Spain! Been here for a week and all I keep getting served is shitty Verdejo. Crisp and complex, I want to order a second bottle.

2 people found it helpfulJul 14th, 2015The 2019 Albariño from Bodegas Fillaboa is highly perfumed and mineral. Taut and focused in style, it offers spice-laced citrus, orchard fruit and honeysuckle flavors underscored by a bracing core of acidity, finishing long and precise, with a refreshing snap of citrus zest. $22.00 (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, July 2021)

1 person found it helpfulJul 19th, 2021This Albariño has a bit more golden tint than usual, and bit more earthiness on the nose. There’s still a bouquet of flowers to smell, along with apples and citrus. On the palate there's a soft salinity that goes along with an almost racy acidity. Green apples and limes come forth and linger on the finish.
